Jay started playing guitar at age 11 after discovering the Beatles and seeing Marty McFly play a ripping version of "Johnny B. Goode" in the movie Back To The Future. He was brought up in a very musical environment as his parents are huge music fans and his father was a professional drummer in a Montreal blues band in the 60's and 70's. Before playing in Money Shot, Jay played guitar and drums in many critically-acclaimed bands such as The Statiks, The Stolen Souls, Double-Cross and Slipstream. He was also the drummer/percussionist for his high-school's 60-piece harmony orchestra and jazz band.
